The Senior Engineer Visibility Engagement
I spent fifteen years as a software engineer before I realized something uncomfortable: almost none of the work I was most proud of would survive outside the companies that owned it. Not the code — the reasoning. The decisions I made, the systems I designed, the calls that shaped products millions of people used. All of it locked inside NDAs and internal Confluence pages. When I left, I took none of it with me in any form a stranger could see.
This is the problem I work on now, because it's the one I lived.
What you'll have at the end of 4 weeks
- A clear written assessment of how your work currently reads to outsiders, and where the gap is.
- A positioning document that captures how you actually think — the reasoning behind your decisions, not just the outcomes.
- Two to three finished pieces of public-facing work built from it: posts, case studies, talk outlines, or written positions, shaped to your strengths.
- A distribution plan for how this keeps going after the engagement ends, so the work compounds instead of going dormant.
How it runs
- One 60-minute call per week.
- One to two hours of work between calls.
- Direct access to me for questions between sessions.
- Total time commitment from you: roughly 8–10 hours across four weeks.
Week 1 — Diagnosis. I audit your current external signal and send you a written assessment. We review it together on the call.
Week 2 — Narrative. We build the positioning document: how you think, what you've built, the through-line a reader needs to see.
Week 3 — Artifacts. You produce two to three finished, publishable pieces of public-facing work.
Week 4 — Distribution. We design how it keeps running after the engagement — cadence, channels, feedback mechanisms.
Who this isn't for
- Engineers in active job-search crisis who need a role this month.
- Engineers looking for help with interview prep, resume writing, or LinkedIn profile rewrites as a standalone service.
- Engineers who want someone to run their content for them rather than build something they own.
Investment: $7,500.
Next step: A 30-minute call to confirm fit. If it's not the right fit, we end the call there. If it is, we schedule the first session.
